Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN"The Real War," a new documentary film series examining war and military occupation, debuts with the Bloomington screening of "Body of War," winner of the National Board of Review's Best Documentary Award.Bluntly and intimately, "Body of War" observes the day-to-day life of a disabled veteran, Tomas Young. Only 25 years old, Young was shot just days after arriving in Iraq. He now struggles to survive and speak out publicly against the war. The camera follows him for a period of months, passing through several important milestones.The Washington Post called Body of War "powerful." The New York Times said it was "impossible not to like." Time magazine: "superb documentary ... almost unbearably moving ..." Fox News called it "riveting."
