      Sure Ky. I found the following description in Dutch and have no time to translate it but why would I? This repair seems dangerous to me when you can do a clean job by placing a resistor of 330 Ohm parallel over the Volt meter. It is easily undone. I did not feel the need because I use the day trip counter. Forgot its name though. I hope someone can comment this story. Anyways this is the description I have for the other approach. Thanks to pc800.nl forums

      Waarom kan er maar 10 liter in de lege tank terwijl er 16 liter in zou moeten kunnen? De af fabriek benzinemeter is verkeerd afgesteld. Je kunt heel ver in het rood door rijden. Wanneer je dit vervelend vindt kan je besluiten om de vlotter bij te buigen. Een beschrijving vindt je hier:

      Aan de rechterkant van de tank (onder de buddy) zit de voeler met een drijvertje aan een stang (vlotter). Haal eerst de plastic beplating weg.

      Zorg ervoor dat de tank zo leeg mogelijk is (ca 3-4 liter nog in de tank) anders loopt de benzine er uit. Zet de motor op de zijsteun.

      Haal de vlotter los (4 moertjes), let op de rubber afdichtring.

      Het stangetje van de voeler heel voorzichtig naar beneden bijbuigen. Controleer de benzinemeter (even de motor wat laten draaien op hoger toerental) of de stand nu juist is.

      Doe alles heel voorzichtig (brand!) en ook de rubberring van de sensor goed terug plaatsen.

        When I adjusted mine I completely drained the fuel tank and removed the fuel level sensor. Then I measured and poured in 1/2 gallon of fuel. I then slightly bent the float arm "downward" and reinstalled the sensor using only two fasteners just barely snugged up. Turn on the ignition and note the fuel guage needle position. I repeated this until the needle was just at the top of the red marking on the guage. When the needle hit the red mark I had 1/2 gallon of fuel remaining.
