Barnes & Noble Customers Give the Gift of Reading to Children in Need
      Through Annual Holiday Book Drive

Eastridge Barnes & Noble in Partnership With City National Bank's Reading is The Way Up Program, Chooses Bachrodt Elementary (San Jose Unified), Cedar Grove Elementary, (Evergreen School District) and Lyndale Elementary (Alum Rock Union School District) As Local Recipients

San Jose CA-November 1st ,2012 - Barnes & Noble stores across the country invite customers to give the gift of reading to children in need during its annual Holiday Book Drive, taking place from November 1, 2012 to January 1, 2013. The Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive provides an opportunity for customers to donate books through locally designated non-profit organizations.

Holiday Book Drive recipients throughout the country include schools, libraries, literacy organizations, family social service agencies and homeless centers. This year, the Eastridge Barnes & Noble, located at 2200 Eastridge Loop Space #1420 will be collecting books for City National Bank's Reading Is The Way Up program, which will distribute books to Bachrodt Elementary (San Jose Unified), Cedar Grove Elementary, (Evergreen School District) and Lyndale Elementary (Alum Rock Union School District)

Through a long standing partnership, City National Bank will match the number of books the store collects as part of the Holiday Book Drive. So if the store collects 1500 books, City National Bank will finance the purchase of 1500 more!

"Our partnership with City National Bank is great," says Michael Koller, Community Business Development Manager. "It will enable us to effectively double the number of books we are able to collect for each school. The more we collect the more these schools will benefit!"

"The Holiday Book Drive is one of our most popular community partnerships," says Sarah DiFrancesco, director of community relations for Barnes & Noble. "Our booksellers and customers get to share the pure joy of giving a book to a child in need. And because each Barnes & Noble store chooses its local non-profit beneficiary, the donations are very personal."

If your business would like to contribute to our Holiday Book Drive or if you would like additional information on how you are participate, contact the Eastridge Barnes & Noble Community Business Development Manager at (408) 270-9477 or crm2247@... <mailto:crm2247@...>.
