      Yours in Yoga,
      Ma Shakti Devi (Isabelle Barger)
      Master, disciple of Swami Maitreyananda
Honorary Secretary of International Yoga Federation USA

      About Us
      Isabelle Barger (Master of Yoga)
      aka Ma Shakti Devi

Isabelle is a certified Yoga Teacher and Master of Yoga with the International Yoga Federation.  Isabelle trains Yoga teachers in the Purna Yoga Integral tradition, training them to command a variety of yoga techniques, to teach 7 different kinds of yoga, and she introduces them into yoga sadhana.

In the beginning she practiced Bikram Yoga.  Then Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Anusara Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Artstic Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Zen Yoga, among others.  She had the opportunity to be disciple of Swami Maitreyananda in Buenos Aires, Argentina with whom she received various dikshas (initiations)--initiation into Yoga, Mantra, Pranavidya Reiki, and the title Karma Swamini.
Isabelle has participated in International Yoga Competitions. She is the 2008 World Champion of Yoga Asanas, 2008 2nd place winner of Yoga Sport, and 2007 3rd place winner of Artistic YogaTM representing the United States.  She is responsible for the translation into English of many yoga documents, including "What is Yoga" by Swami Maitreyananda, and "Rules and Regulations of Yoga Sport" which explains the "yoga" in "yoga competition".  She is the International Yoga Federation Secretary for the United States.

Apart from the Integrated School of Yoga, Isabelle teaches Children´s Yoga with Green Tree Yoga. WIth Green Tree, Isabelle participates in integrating yoga into public schools--a historical move for Yoga in the United States.  She is the Director of the Green Tree Yoga Spanish Program where she has the opportunity to spread Yoga to the Spanish speaking population.
Besdies Yoga, which is itself a language, Isabelle speaks fluent French and Spanish.  She grew up speaking French in a bicultural home, and she lived two years in Argentina.  Apart from teaching yoga and training teachers, she loves music, going for walks, foreign languages, her friends, and laughter.  She is a graduate from the University of Utah with a Bachelors Degree in English Literature.
          Rolf Lange, Yoga Teacher
Rolf Lange developed a casual interest in yoga after moving to Salt Lake City in 1986. In 2004, a skiing injury left him unable to do much in the way of physical exercise without pain.  About a year later, he tentatively began to practice yoga again, attending mostly gentle and restorative-type classes. With time and some persistence, he was able to include more vigorous styles of yoga into that practice with a new awareness of his physical limitations and an appreciation for mindful movement.
In August 2008, he was introduced to Purna Yoga Integral by Isabelle Barger, Director of the Integrated School of Yoga. He quickly fell in love with her style of teaching Restorative Yoga, with the Yoga Integral method, and with the range of techniques that it incorporates. Rolf has trained with Karma Swamini Barger and is certified by the International Yoga Federation to teach Traditional Hatha Yoga, Classical Raja Yoga, Power Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Artistic Yoga, and Yoga Integral. He currently integrates traditional and restorative styles into yoga classes for people of all ages and skill levels. His goals are to communicate the “spirit of yoga” and leave students feeling better when they finish a class than when they started.

Rolf also enjoys telemark skiing, hiking, reading, a variety of music, cooking and new dining experiences. Travel has also been a great source of wonder and adventure. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from Georgia State University and Southern Illinois University and has over 20 years of experience working in the field of environmental consulting and engineering. His work requires occasional international travel, which has allowed him to experience different cultures; learn a bit about how people in other countries perceive the world; and provided some rare opportunities to engage in life. For this, he is truly grateful.

      Bev Salazar, Yoga Teacher

      Marianne Goodell, Yoga Teacher

Marianne is a certified Yoga Teacher with the International Yoga Federation. She loves to teach many methods including Yoga Integral, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha, Artistic Yoga,Power, Restore, and Chants. Marianne was

trained in the Purna Yoga Integral tradition, learning a variety of yoga techniques and philosophies while being guided into yoga sadhana.

She started taking yoga as a student of Iyengar style pre-natal yoga 12 years ago. After a break, she started yoga in earnest attending Anusara, restorative, gentle, power, and vinyasa style classes. Her teacher training helped her incorporate yoga into her daily life.

In addition to yoga as a creative outlet, Marianne also designs and creates jewelry. When she’s not teaching yoga or making jewelry, she spends time with her husband and two sons enjoying the outdoors walking, running, hiking, and camping. She is a graduate from the University of Utah with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management.
