      About Speaker: Joseph Paolella

      In 1992, Joseph Paolella became director of Dr. Chris Gugas &
      Associates, which was founded by Dr. Chris Gugas, former President of
      the American Polygraph Association, founder of the National Polygraph
      Association, and author of "Silent Witness". Mr. Paolella began his
      career with the U.S. Secret Service in 1960, as a Special Agent and
      was with the White House Protective Service Detail serving under four
      presidents. In 1969, Mr. Paolella founded American Lie Detection
      Laboratory in Chicago, IL. He has conducted over 10,000 polygraph
      examinations, testified both in State and Federal courts and is
      approved by both State and Federal Public Defender's Offices to
      conduct polygraph examinations. Mr. Paolella is also a licensed
      private investigator and founder of Joseph Paolella & Associates, a
      private investigations firm specializing in criminal defense,
      background investigations, locating locates. Mr. Paolella also
      provides executive protection services and uniformed security
      officers for both private and commercial security needs. He was also
      featured on the FOX TV show "Liars". Mr. Paolella founded the
      American Academy of Forensic Sciences, in 1997. Mr. Paolella also
      was the founder of the California Organization of Private Police
      (COPP) in 1985.
