I have received mailing from another company (ER Munro) which offers the same bond for $79. Does anybody have experience with this company or have a recommendation for another?
We don't use bonds here in Illinois for private investigators, they
require insurance. BIG DIFFERENCE
Bond protects the client, not the investigator or process server. If
the state requires a bond - shame on them but good on you. Get any bond
at any price you can that will satisfy the state requirement and walk
away singing a happy tune. The state approves the bonding company, etc.
and they go belly up it's not your fault, the state was watching them,
Insurance is much different since they will also have to defend your
torts. That's when you want to be sure you've got an outfit that sticks
by your side.
