PHOENIX - The nation's top American Indian science organization will hold a three-day convention that starts today at the Phoenix Convention Center.

The American Indian Science and Engineering Society, AISES, expects to attract 2,000 participants to its 29th annual conference called "Mission: Success." AISES' mission is to boost the number of American Indians and Alaskan Natives in science fields.

The event will feature a tour of Arizona State University by 300 Indian high school students, a career fair, research presentations, poster competitions and a powwow.
