- I too feel the same. Check your alternator / regulator.
Mu colleague's head lamps normally go off when going up on a ramp, when the RPM is high and on low gears.

The chances of bad fuse or stalk is rare. I have a doubt that your regulator is
giving up. The momentary surge from the alternator (due to faulty regulator),
would have caused the bright flash & fusing of the dipper filament. I had
experienced this twice, & in both cases my upper filaments were blown with a
bright flash. The dippers were in tact. The diagnosis was a faulty regulator & I
had to overhaul my alternator.
