      Dear Colleagues,

In response to many requests from our members and partners, we are happy to announce the release of a series of information sheets on management of marine species commonly used for food and livelihoods throughout the Pacific Islands region.  These guidance sheets are a product of the collaboration between the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) and the LMMA Network.  Many of you were part of this effort by helping to identify priority species and providing feedback on the draft sheets.  Thanks to you all for your valuable input.

These information sheets should prove useful tools for community members wishing to improve management of key food species.  We would appreciate your assistance in making sure they get to the end users!  The entire guide and sheets are available on our website in PDF or Word (to facilitate translation into other languages), or online at the SPC website.  Translations into French and Portuguese are forthcoming.  Hard copies are being provided to all Pacific Island and LMMA Network countries.

As always, we value your feedback.  Please take our poll, send your comments, or join our announcement list here.

      Best regards,
