- No need to apologise, I run a business that depends heavily on e-mail . We are plagues by all sorts of rubbish. Dont worry if there is nothing more you can do. Keep up the good work.

Subject: [Immigration Canada] Group Membership Now Restricted
Miriam, the spammer you are referring to, "h.peter fischer" has been
removed as a member, has been banned multiple times, his/her messages
delted daily, and Yahoo Groups staff has been notified about the
issue. However, all of this seems to be of limited effect since the
offender simply joins again under a slightly different pseudonym and
continues spamming the next day. I'm not sure what the intention of
all this is, but this has resulted in the understandable loss of a
number of members from this group lately.
Because of this, I am now changing the way people can join this
group: I will have to approve all requests to join. Furthermore, I
will not approve *anyone* requesting to join this group within the
next weeks until this is resolved. Hopefully, this will only have to
be a temporary measure.
I would like to apologize to the members of our group that have had
to tolerate lenghty off-topic spam messages, especially e-mail
Digests of messages that have clogged inboxes. This is not unique to
our group and we are trying to resolve the problem as quickly as
