      P's for Poets
      H's for Haters...

      P's up
      H's down
      We poets
      get down
      from Miami
      to Sactown
      Prague
      to Capetown
      Puttin' down
      lyrics
      pinned up
      inside of us...
      Comin' grim
      with phat
      pads and pens
      everybody's got
      their ears to hear it...
      but they didn't chip in
      in terms of lyrics...
      But once what's
      spoken gets
      officially spat...
      Hats get tipped
      as circuits are tripped...
      Claps reincarnate themselves
      into finger snaps...
      For the words that bleed
      are like lyrical
      poppy seeds
      nurtured via the communal
      libations indeed
      that exist within the venue...
      Suddenly
      the new menu
      boasts a poetic
      weed that grew
      from the seeds
      that can be rolled
      up with tablet paper...
      then subsequently
      lit up
      toked up
      smoked up
      then hit up
      via every breathing
      soul in the room...
      Vroom goes this
      high as
      days of working
      together are nigh...
      5 on it doggone it!!!
      Don't ask why!!!

      Now crunchy are
      the fries at IHOP...
      Intrigued by
      the munchies
      from the crowd
      that lit up
      a poetic joint
      that was rolled up
      with the purpose
      of mounting up
      positive spirits
      in order to
      flock together
      in communion...

      ...hey, whatever brings us together...

      Peace,

      Marc Lacy (c)2005

i might say an ill word
      cause sometimes i get pissed
      hit me with clever verbs
      sometimes you'll get dissed
but when i'm off the ego trip
off the hell of cess's grip
      i come around once again
to know the sting of the whip
that dude what was his name
that set forth some mad game
      whether true or just myth
the effect was still the same
got us at each others' throats
since we fell from sick boats
in the words of our theses
      in the agry rappers' notes
      what then of this land
of this time and this way
guess i'll just hit up this fiend
      so my blind mom
      can eat today

      peace

While Inspiration without perspiration is hallucination.
We got Apostles on every corner with some new revelation.

      It's Jesus they praise,
      hypocritical D Jays,
Spreading he says and she says.
Words no match for records he plays.

We read one book...now we Malcolm X,
We like virgins given lessons on sex.
Big Men talk big bout what they will do,
Lil Girls get hurt when they don't follow thru.

Just Hollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllah if you hear me???
every body got an opinion or theory!
But when I need help, you won't get near me!!
Ask you to walk with me and now you fear me!!

Walkers not talkers are in heavy demand,
I know u can speak...but can you STAND?
