      I Hate It Here

      I hate it here

      I want to leave

      And I would dare anyone

      To even grieve

      Faking the funk

      That they're bereaved

      Cause it was everyone

      That made my life miserable

      My unhappiness

      Was quite considerable

      From all angles

      Being treated better

      By perfect strangers

      Even with them though

      There was a constant danger

      Of having my feelings hurt

      By words that are curt

      And frank

      And stank

      And bank-ing

      On lowering my self-esteem

      Making me dirty

      To present themselves clean

      I often dreamed

Of what it would be like to be respected

      And wanted instead of neglected

And approved of instead of rejected

To belong to a family that loved me for me

And friends that wanted to hang around me

Instead of a life that’s silently still

Where I find a deathly chill

That no one feels but me

If I ended it all now

I honestly feel like nobody would miss me

      But me

      But I bet

      A lot of people

      Would act like it

      At least until the funeral

      Was over
