Chuck, A 154,185,184 tractor is an Estate class
machine, about 1800 lbs. usually has floatation turf tires,it,s
a great mower and easy on the turf. Also good with a
back blade, but the PTO is non-standard so powered
implements must be specifically for these tractors. Some
after market implements are available i.e.Woods belly
mower.
The 8n is a utility class tractor,better
suited for heavier work, with bar tires it would be
harder on your lawn, but better in the ruff.
It has
a standard pto but it is not independant like the
154 which is better(IPTO).
Both machines are good
within their limits, but there isn,t one tractor that
will do everything well.
Hope I,ve
helped............Mike
