I'd like to point out, that freebies are nice...but methinks I might add a bit more difficulty to hacking the cia mainframe with a six year old laptop rather than the batcomputer....

That being said, I certainly support the idea that Icons works best without a Monty Haul mentality.

Whether the players want their chracters to operate from their mom's basement or do it in style with an Avengers Mansion complete with butler is just a flavour thing. The understanding is that the base in itself doesn't actually have any mechanical game impact. So if you are trying to hack into the CIA's mainframe using the bases Bat Computer equivalent is not different than using a battered, six year old laptop. The difficulty of the test remains the same.

Thus "Bat Computer" could be an aspect of the Batcave and players could spend a DP and invoke the "Bat Computer" Aspect to help their hacking role. Of course they might be able to invoke an Aspect of their own to get the same effect, so like I said, it's just flavour.

I confess I've not really thought this through and I can see it case where handling this this way could have inconsistent results. But at the same time you might be suprised how often players, given the choice team supersonic jets or flashy Batmobiles, will actually go for a humble motorcycle or a Scoobie-Do Mystery Van style vehicle for character reasons.
