If an early model &75, check to see if AM-S selected. Turn to AM regular. Also if purchased used, the previous owner may have done modes to install the AM-S

I think we need more info. Does it change in frequency? Can you upload a recording of it? Is it being used with the original power supply? Anything else

The electrolytic capacitors in -5V DC-DC converter circuit tend to dry-out and can cause that symptom. I had it on my R-75, and replacing them solved it. Brett

R75 has a whistle when powered on

My R75 receiver has started having a loud whistle for a minute or so after being switched on. Does anyone have an idea what is at fault. Thank you. Richard
