      Dear All
Was reading through the indian railways website and came across this proposal of posting medical officers on long distance trains.

      http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/indianrailways/directorate/health/downloads/Duronto_Trains_Doctors.pdf

To make things more interesting the medical equipment proposed - Defibrillators, suction machines  etc

was wondering if there is any data on the number of cases requiring such medical care per year/ ave per day or average per train is available

is it necessary to waste precious human resources- one medical officer and one attendent to when the propability of him being  used is near negligible??

or is this another Common- wealth type scam in the making
Looking for your thoughts on this

      sincere regards

      clarence
