I am sorry about that post. I did see that after I sent this one. I was catching up with all of the conversations. I had lapsed a few days and I still need to try out the tone generator. I will post after I get that done. I am also going to ahve my husband check out a lot of the posts to see if he has any input, since he is into radio, ham and other wise, as well as being an electoronics guy.
The hum just got a ot louder................ I hate this!
I try to not mentally focus on it and that works a lot off the time, but not when it's loud. HOLY SMOKES IT's BAD!!

For the record, I am not in Nevada at all. I'm not sure that you meant me on this post, but I live near Chicago in Northwest Indiana

      Hello,

I am new to this group...just signed up due to my ongoing "hum" problem.

I moved to Las Vegas about 1.5 years ago. Shortly after moving here I started to hear a faint low freq humming sound in my right ear only. At first I thought it was my neighbors stereo or TV. The sound was heard mostly at night when I was in bed.

I have pulled my hair out trying to figure out the source of this humming noise. My wife does not hear it and I did not hear it until moving to Las Vegas. I have visited a doctor concerning this problem and he performed hearing tests and recommended a MRI which I refused to pay for. I mentioned nothing to the doctor about the possibility of it being the Taos Hum. He did not mention it to me either.

I am curious if any other members - on this board - are from the Las Vegas area or Nevada. Would like the comfort of knowing there are others that I can talk to concerning this issue. Maybe we can pinpoint the problem

      Thanks,
      Tim
