Group Description

The High Speed Packet Radio group is devoted to supporting and advancing high speed ax25 packet radio networking operations. For purposes of discussion, high speed refers to at least 4.8k or faster. Typically discussion of these high speed packet networks will focus on experimentation, EMCOMM, NTS, and general digital messaging needs.

If you're a licensed amateur radio operator interested in building high speed ax25 based packet radio networks, feel free to join up.

NOTE: This is not a D-Star group. Nothing against D-Star at all beyond I don't see the cost justification or what real world problem it fixes with our current analog repeater scene. D-Star operations are already covered by other mailing lists out there. This group focuses on high speed packet radio using AX25 gear/techniques.
