  • My life insurance. My animals, lots of stuff. Payback is important, but there are times when renting does pay, but not often. • I think that will really depend on what you are using solar for. If only using a bit for a house that has a gas stove, gas hot water, gas dryer etc, the payback will be forever. At the other end, if you are running an electric car, electric house, electric mower, weed eater, basically if you use electric for everything, plus electric vehicles both on and off road, the payback is...

  • Greetings, Are these available? I have never heard of them. I would like to see more data on this. • Greetings, Unfortunately it is not finished. I have the building for it about three quarters done, the control panel is in out of the weather, but then Garth and I got a full time job off the farm last January. Just keeping the critters looked after is about all we are getting done here right now. But, the job ends in three weeks, so we can work on the system and our house again...

  • Greetings, I just realized why the Tessla has charge controllers, I am slow sometimes. My charge controller won't work, a different kind of battery. Like recharging AA batteries, you have to use the right charger. I wonder if my inverters would work, I would assume yes, but I could be wrong. It is looking like either you start with a Tessla system, or don't bother, you will have...

  • Thanks Kevin, It appears I am in worse shape than I thought. This weather shift this year is so strange, I have never had dead calm, all my trees are flagged from the constant wind, until I want to use wind as a back up. Now, dead calm and cloudy. This year anyway, I wonder if the weather pattern will switch back. Kim Travis PDC The Rose Colored Forest Bedias, Texas On 5/2/2015 3...

  • Greetings, I have yet to loose a battery for anything in 4 years. My last tractor battery was 12 years old, and it was abused, so how do you get a 4 year life???? If I have the kind of money needed invested, believe me, those batteries are cared for. Have you watched the weather lately? We just did 12 days of no wind and clouds, so no power created. My normal electric bill is...

  • Greetings, So, how many KWH do I have? I thought my 8 batteries were 50KWH and about $5000 new. Did I not listen carefully? • Greetings, My batteries are not lead acid, they are gel cells. Still, the price tag for the amount of storage is outrageous.
