  • Speaking of unhealthy situations, I have heard that those high-voltage transmission lines generate a powerful field and it is not healthy to live under or near them. Have even heard that if you stand under one of them and hold a fluorescent bulb parallel to the line that the bulb will glow - is that an "old wives' tale" or is it true?
