Giant kite to help pull cargo ship across the Atlantic Ocean

Q1x00161_9 The owners of MS Beluga SkySails are counting on wind to help their 433-foot cargo ship travel from Germany to Venezuela. The vessel is outfitted with a giant kite controlled by onboard computers that make use of the prevailing winds.
SkySails, which designed the 1,722-square-foot kite, tells BBC News that it may cut fuel consumption by as much as 20%.
"It's kind of back to the future," says Verena Frank of Beluga Shipping.
If you're still curious, the company has a video that shows how the sail is supposed to work.
