- The 2006 Tax Credit for Solar, Insulating, and hybrid cars will be explained by by Nan Hildreth The 2006 tax law gives consumers a credit for 2006 & 2007 of 30% for solar electricity or solar hot water up to $2,000 per residential system, insulating homes, changing windows or some other improvements of 10% up to $300 and an still fuzzy credit for new energy efficient cars. http://www.energytaxincentives.org/
