- Charlie,I am heading up the KRBE Earth Day on May 24th. We are still looking for volunteers to help. I'll try to reach you by phone Friday (tomorrow) to make arrangements for picking up the information and tickets. Thanks,Chris Boyer----- Original Message -----From: chasmauch@...Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2003 1:33 PMSubject: [hreg] KRBE/Green Mountain Earth DayI had a call yesterday from KRBE that the exhibitor's packets for Earth Day were ready so I went by their office this morning and picked ours up. It will be from 11am to 8pm on Saturday May 24th at Eleanor Tinsley Park (formerly Buffalo Bayou Park) on Allen Parkway.
Costs $13 but we have 8 passes for people who are working the booth. They will provide a 10x10 booth, one table, and two chairs. No free parking or Metro shuttle this year (bummer!) Parking is available for $5 in the Theater District and Houston Club Building parking garages. They are encouraging interactive booths and will give 1st prize $500, 2nd $250, and 3rd $150 for most interactive booths.
Load-in of equipment from cars will be Friday 9am - 7pm and booths will be assigned at that time. Overnight security provided. Load-in on Saturday must be hand carried - no cars or trucks allowed. Arrive in time to be set up when gates open at 11am. Load-out 8pm to 11pm. No food or drink may be sold or given away at the booths (but is of course available for purchase from the vendors).
I think that is most of the pertinent information. They have a website at www.104krbe.com but there is not much on it. I have a map and some other data that was in the packet. I guess the main question is - who is going to be in charge of this project? Is TSU going to exhibit also? Who should I give the packet and passes to?
