Commercializing Non-Fuel Products
Wednesday, September 26 | 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Although many see accessing the liquid fuel markets as the ultimate scale end-game for the algae industry, algae companies need to walk before they run. Smaller volume, higher value markets will be key to building scale, while by-product development will support the affordability of the main product stream. Therefore, an ever-increasing number of diverse higher-value algal products are being commercialized. This session will provide an overview of some of these products and emphasize the commercial impacts of deriving value from non-fuel products.
