      A Penn State University research team has developed a device which enables sewage plants to generate power (0.9 kwH per kilogram of ogranic waste). Since sewage treatment plants currently consume 1.2kwH per kilo, this is a welcomed development. The idea would be to make sewage plants energy self-sufficient to power the water grid.
       
      The article details how they combined two tecnologies (fuel cell and reverse electrodialysis) to make it happen efficiently.
