As you may know, Houston has made strides to be a leader in the EV arena with several big successes: first Nissan roll-out in Texas, several GM Volt events, EV Readiness city, and several state and Federal funding successes. The city has already had a fleet of several hundred of hybrids, which demonstrates its early leadership in clean/efficient vehicle technologies.
The Clean Economy Network Houston Chapter is planning an event focusing on electrical vehicles on May 24 (Tuesday). This event will be focused on local economy and business connections and will be featured with a keynote speech by Chairman Barry Smitherman of the Public Utility Commission of Texas. We invite you to join us. See attached an event flyer for more details.
Visit http://houston.cleaneconomynetwork.org/may-24-2011-evolution-vehicles-electric-vehicles-and-houston for event updates and registration details. Seats are limited, so register today!
If you could offer your help for the event, please contact us at Houston@.... We do need quite some volunteers to make the event a success.
Thanks and look forward to seeing you at the event.
