      That's a very important distinction.
      Toyota stated several years ago that their long-term plan for hybrid powered cars would be battery powered electric motors and not fuel cell power. They are putting their money on perfecting their own technology rather than trying to stay ahead of the curve with hydrogen
      But you can bet that they are working on a fuel cell technology just like the other big players.
