FINAL SNOW REPORT??? Humpf. It is snowing/raining (slushing) right now! It isn't sticking lower, but came in to the timber last night. I have a fire lit and look out at greening Aspen trees, white stripes through the timber where avalanches left them, and jagged dark areas showing through the clouds and snow up high. It is supposed to turn summer tomorrow, and I still have hope that the new snow will soften and help melt the old even faster. The nights have been relatively warm during the storm so maybe that will help too.

When I was a child in Silverton, one of the older boys
started calling me Skunk Ears. I went to my father pouting
about it. He told me skunks have cute ears. That made
everything o.k., and the boy stopped using the name.
