      Hello Hardrockers,

The Silverton newspaper reported one of the highest January snowfalls
on record. As you can see below, there was a lot of snow. The San
Juan Mountains have well above the normal snowpack. There's a lot of
snow up there. I can't wait to see how much remains for the run but,
I'm already thinking about going up Virginius this year.

Below is the Silverton snow report as of April 1st. The snowpack
across the San Juans is roughly 1.3 times normal. However, snowpack
has begun to decrease in the last week. Long range forecasts
indicate about normal temperatures and precipitation for the next
        three months.

SNOTEL is a great web site that provides real time measures of
temperatures, snowpack, and precip. It's at:

            Hello everyone,

Below is the first Hardrock snow report for this season. It's as
plain as the nose on your snowman that there just isn't much snow so
far in Silverton. We'll have to wait to see what the rest of the
            winter brings.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year.
