      Hello everyone,

Below is the Silverton snow report as of the first of May. Overall snow
water content in the San Juans is around 75% of normal.

I was up in Silverton over the weekend and was surprized at how much snow
there is above 10000 feet. Many of the basins are still white and it was
beautiful. I ran up Kendall Mountain where a snow bank had stopped vehicle
traffic at about 11,400 feet. It was very easy to get on up the road on
foot beyond that point. I see no reason for the run to be cancelled
      because of snow.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in July.

      Charlie
