Thank you for your interest in and participation in the Community Dialogue on Academic Success the African American Student, which will be held tomorrow at the People's Community Baptist Church, commencing at 8:30 a.m.
Among the presenters scheduled for tomorrow's meeting, you will hear from Dr. Ivory Toldson, an Associate Professor of Counseling and Psychology at Howard University. Dr. Toldson has led ground-breaking studies related to academic attainment, and barriers thereto, for African American males.
Attached are several articles for your reading. Please note that these materials are neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Montgomery County Board of Education or Montgomery County Public Schools; rather they are offered as resources.
Thank you for your attention to this important topic, and for your participation as work to support development of a community plan to address this issue.
