Group Description

The Houston Audio Society is a group of audio and music enthusiasts from the Houston metropolitan area. We hold monthly meetings to share ideas, listen to records and CD's, hear different types of audio equipment, host guest speakers, attend audio related events and seminars, and visit audio retail shops.

We are interested in the full range of audio equipment from entry level through the highest quality components. The shared interest that holds us together is our love of music and the equipment that reproduces it accurately and with feeling. To join the Houston Audio Society just come to one of our regular meetings. No reservations are expected - just come and join us.

For Sale Ads: The messages section of this site is intended for the discussion of audio topics and not for advertising and marketing. For Sale ads should be placed in the "For Sale or Trade" database as described in message #7155 dated July 7, 2012. Ads that are out of compliance with these instructions will be cheerfully deleted by the moderators.

Next meeting: April 26th from 1-3 pm at the University Branch Library meeting room. 14010 University Blvd. Sugar Land (Just south of Hwy 59 on University. Rear Left building in parking lot. Sugar Land U of H Campus). Topic is Uriah Dailey's solid state pre-amp & newly designed amplifier demonstration. He is one of our members and designs these as kits and also assembled. The rest of the system will be Silverline Prelude speakers. If you have a cd player to offer to bring, please email Sheri: s.morgenroth@earthlink.net. It would help a lot. Also bring cd's to play. If you'd like, meet for lunch before the meeting at Olive Garden at the 59 and Sweetwater exit(just south of the freeway at 11:00).
