In order for Hoodia pills to have its appetite suppressant effect, it must be grown in the Kalahari desert
Finding pure Hoodia pills supplements from the Kalahari desert is a challenge to say the least.
There is a lot of hoodia pills information out there. Some of it is based on scientific evidence and some is conjecture. There are products which mix other herbs (usually stimulants) with hoodia pills and there are products which claim to be 100% hoodia pills powder obtained from the hoodia pills plants grown by African farmers.
The question of the Hoodia pills plant itself being patented is much more complicated. It is our belief that you can not patent a plant, but you can patent the use of plants and a process to extract plants. Here is an exact quote from Richard when he appeared on 60 minutes.

Despite its popularity, there are no published randomized controlled trials in humans to show hoodia pills is safe or effective in pill form.
