Electronics in the 1920s and 30s
- Does anyone have any information on the status of hobby type
electronics during the 1920s and 30s? How common an activity was it?
Electronics became quite a popular hobby in the post war decades of
the 1950s and 60s when building radios and power amplifiers at home
was economical and rewarding along with there were plenty of outlets
selling surplus electronics components and hardware left over from
The War for experimenters and constructors to dabble with but I can't
seem to find much information on what the situation was like in the
1920s and 30s.
In contrast there is no shortage of information on professional
electronics activity during this period.
