Time delay with 1 amp output - LM395

This circuit uses an LM395 to form a time delay circuit with a one amp output. Upon closing S1, C1 charges to +15 volts - this turns the output on. When S1 is released, the capacitor C1 discharges through R1. When the voltage across R1 decreases to about 0.8 volts, the output is deenergized. The time delay is approximately: 3*R1*C1 (about 3 seconds with values shown). The LM395 provides current, power, and thermal limiting.
