Forgive me for writing again so soon, but I was not thinking very clearly in the first shock of hearing about Bro. Patrick's death. To my delight and superiors, Patrick had a great devotion to the Divine Mercy, something neither of us knew about when we lived together and found on our own in later years. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy has great power and efficacy when said for the dying. I was privileged to say one with Bro. Patrick during our last visit, and have just said another for him now.
If, like Patrick and I, you know the Chaplet, please say one for him at the hour of his death. God is outside of time and you can do that for him. If you don't know the Chaplet, it is a simple and wonderful prayer to learn. Learning it to say one for Brother would be a great gift for him, for me, and for yourself! How delighted he will be if some learn the Divine Mercy devotion because of his passing!
Directions for the Chaplet are at this link: http://marian.org/divinemercy/chaplet.html
Thanks and God reward you!
Love and prayers,
