Maria and I have never met in person but I feel like I have known her all my life. Every time when we found each other online, we would update each other about our work as our greetings to each other. It is just that natural. She showed how she cared by her actions. She was generous in offering encouragement and shared knowledge. I really will miss our conversations.

Her love for the people in Africa and the land is something we will not forget. Whatever she started, let's continue it with courage and honor. Tonight, I will drum with many friends and colleagues in Taiwan for Maria Agnese Giraudo for her life on earth and spirit that inspires us.
