      There was many attempts throughout the years of putting a decent arena for
      hockey in SF but all the attempts failed. As the years went by, San Jose
      and the Silicon Valley exploded in size and economy and it became a viable
      alternative site for the Bay Area. San Jose back then was just another
      suburb.
