      Andrew Podnieks' book "Players" says

He was the first-ever coach of the Fort Wayne Komets in the new
IHL, helping to establish the game and league in that city.
He later coached Toledo, Louisville, and other teams, but made
Fort Wayne his home for the rest of his days.

Actually, he coached Toledo (Mercurys) before Fort Wayne, not after.
He was there for two seasons, 1950-52, and won the Turner Cup on
      both occasions.

According to hockeydb.com, he had also coached the Hull Volants
of the Québec Senior Hockey League in 1945-46 (he had played
with them the previous three seasons).
