Tanks Jeff and no bother at all...I have fun playing with all of it!  I don't really sim full seasons, so I am not clear on what you talking about.   But if Dave thinks it can be done, I am sure I can do it.  He would just have to explain the intricacies to me.

You can edit the schedule in the latest version....but I'd have to check if that is in the latest published version, or the beta I have here.  I have been wanting to add a scheduler also that would auto-generate schedules, but not sure on that one.

Sorry to be a bother. I just wanted to compliment you on the 3.5 version of aphcomm, Brian. I finally realized that I could just uninstall the 3.0 version and then install 3.5 and wow, what great enhancements! I love that you have implemented the change for having all the player ratings viewable without clicking on each player. The whole look is fantastic, thank you.

One thing that Dave mentioned in a recent email is that perhaps the aphcomm application might have the ability to have an enhancement added in the future that might preserve line combinations from game to game when running "C" schedule games. Right now, after a few games, the line combinations begin to be removed as the computer AI makes changes. If you run a full season to get an idea of the accuracy of your season, it is somewhat distorted because of all the AI changes. Is this something you have thought about at all, Brian?

Also, are there any thoughts to add the schedule program to APHCOMM? It would be nice to have a way to set the control of your schedule from an application instead of having to go into each schedule and manually enter C's, M's or A's.

Anyway, thank you for all that you have done for this community.

      Jeff

      Jeff,
Distribution of the program is limited to the apbahockey.com site...I apologize for the problem...you have to register and login in order to download...I haven't had time to figure out why it is telling you it is dead as opposed to asking you to login.

I just noticed when visiting apbahockey.com that the apbacomm program was released up to version 3.5. Mine is only 3.0 so I tried to download the latest one but the link I guess was dead. If someone could attach, I would appreciate it. I have been playing a lot of apba hockey these past couple weeks and enjoying it again :)

      Thank you,
      Jeff

Here is a safe copy bud....

We need to talk about these old disks.  Dave A and I have been working out some systems with testing similar to what the current disks go through.  We have one done 70-71 and are working on 71-72

BTW, where are you going stats from?  Alot of it is not available much of anywhere

      Gentlemen,

I have completed 1972 NHL (1972-73 NHL season). It is attached and on my dropbox site. I have also moved the Russian file directly into the hockey file, if you are looking for the Russian ratings. If anyone wants an invite for dropbox, just email me directly at Fotiu22Fan@...

I am starting work on 1973 NHL very soon, if anyone has suggestions for changing ratings for any disks from 1973 to 1979, please email me directly.

Also, anyone using the program Scheduler MFC Application 1998 ? Since switching from Windows XP to Windows 7 my version will not work, error shows missing file MSVCP50.dll but when I search for the file on the internet most sites say it is not safe to download, that it needs to come from the program? Any advice from a computer specialist would be appreciated.

      Anthony

Guys I am trying to update a few players for their #'s for the current season through APBA Commissioner and I'm getting messages of either "Runtime error '6': Overflow",  or "Division by 0", if I try to reset the Penalty Ratings. Does anyone know why this would be happening?

Is it somehow related to my not being able to run Statdump to get stats for this season's players? I can only use Regrep.

Many thanks for any help- Dave G / WHL

Is there a way to play a game with Apba PC Hockey where you use a neutral site? I saw it mentioned on a website but I dont see how that would be done.

        Greetings,

I was able to rate the non_NHL players thanks to a website that has scouting reports on nearly every player in the world. I am sure the disk is no where near perfect as the seasons put out by the group here but I ran a few test runs and the stats came out really good. I am attaching. Would love constructive feedback.
