"To Illuminate our real African History, to clarify our African
Presence, to brilliantly project our African Future."

African History Research Specialist Runoko Rashidi will be speaking
Saturday, May 13, 2000 at 4:00 pm at the St. James Presbyterian Church
in Harlem, New York. St. James Presbyterian is at 141 St. Nicholas Ave.
in New York City. The topic is "The South Pacific through African
Eyes." As with most of Rashidi's presentations this one will be vividly
illustrated with slides from his recent travels to Hawaii and Fiji.

Runoko Rashidi is the author of African Classical Civilizations and the
editor, with Dr. Ivan Van Sertima, of the African Presence in Early
Asia. He proudly boasts that he is an African "thoroughly in love with
African people." To date, Rashidi has lectured at more than 110
colleges and universities and on every continent save Antarctica.

Rashidi is very active online and is currently coordinating an
educational tour entitled "Looking at Aboriginal Australia through
African Eyes" scheduled for July 2000. For further information contact
Rashidi at RRashidi@... or call (210) 648-5178. Please visit and
review Rashidi's Global African Presence web site at
      http://www.cwo.com/~lucumi/runoko.html

Admission to this fascinating lecture is only $4.00 and no African will
be turned away. A question and answer period follows the lecture. The
lecture is sponsored by the First World Forum.
