      CELEBRATE AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH WITH THE HARAMBEE YOUTH PROGRAM
      FEBRUARY 5, 1999

      The Harambee Youth Program will open African American History Month with
      a celebration of African Culture and History, Friday, February 5, 1999
      at the Buckeye Elks Youth Development Center 421 1/2 North Avenue in
      Youngstown, Ohio.

      Noted scholar Runoko Rashidi will be the guest lecturer for the
      occasion. Runoko Rashidi is a cultural historian with a special
      interest in the African foundations of world civilizations. He has
      actively researched the African presence in Asia, particularly India,
      Australia and the islands of the Pacific. He is the author of
      Introduction to the Study of Classical African Civilizations and
      co-editor with Ivan Van Sertima of African Presence in Early Asia.

      Come celebrate African American History Month with the Harambee Youth
      Program, Friday, February 5, 1999 at the Buckeye Elks Youth Development
      Center, 421 1/2 North Avenue in Youngstown. Festivities begin at 5:30
      P.M.
