The unfortunately decline and death of "slumpy"

If the economy of the Detroit area, and for some the weather, weren't so challenged; there are bound to be some amazing architectural bargains to be had, and saved. I was just recently reading a post in another forum were someone was choosing between two beautiful old homes in challenged neighborhoods in the "rust belt". Both homes needed extensive renovation, but were only $15k each. It's sad that ultimately many of these homes will likely be lost even when offered so cheaply.
