CITY PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE V OF THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF NEW ORLEANS, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION HEREBY ANNOUNCES THAT IT WILL HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS TO SOLICIT THE OPINIONS OF CITIZENS RELATIVE TO PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY’S “PLAN FOR THE 21ST CENTURY” ALSO KNOWN AS THE MASTER PLAN.
The City Planning Commission has received multiple applications for amendments to the Master Plan, including proposals for changes to policies, the Future Land Use Map, and other components of the Plan. A summary of each amendment application is provided on the CPC website. In addition, the staff of the City Planning Commission has proposed multiple amendments to the text of the Plan and to the Future Land Use Map. Maps and lists of all the staff-proposed amendments are posted on the CPC website: cpc.nola.gov.
The public hearings will take place on the following dates in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1300 Perdido Street , Room 1E07
- Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 3:00pm or following the City Planning Commission’s regular public meeting, which begins at 1:30pm. The Master Plan amendments public hearing will not start earlier than 3:00pm.
- Tuesday, January 10, 2012, 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Written public comments may be submitted through the close of business December 15, 2011.
These meetings will be accessible to people with disabilities.
