On January 27, 2014, at approximately 5:48am, First District Officers responded to a signal 64G, relative to an Armed Robbery Gun, located at 1400 Esplanade Avenue.
Upon Arrival, officers met with the victim who stated she and another female were statnding at the bus stop on Esplanade and N. Villere waiting for the bus. The victim staed an unknown vehicle passed traveling west on N. Villere and stopped in the middle of the block. Shortly after, a short black male wearing a tan or gray hoodie, tan pants and black shoes, approached and asked what time the bus stops. The victim advised him the bus was enroute. The subject turned around appearing to walk away when he turned around again, he was armed with a silver colored semi-automatic handgun with black grips.. The subject told the victim to give him her bag and the victim complied. The subject returned to the vehicle and fled.
