      Happy New Year everyone.

Senators 3, Blues 2 - Kozlov's sixth goal of the season with 5
minutes left in the 3rd period proved to be the game winner.

Blackhawks 2, Oilers 1 - Despite marginally outshooting the
Blackhawks 25-22 and Chicago's Kevin Weekes having to leave with a
mild groin pull the hard luck Oilers lost another close game.

Avalanche 3, Devils 1 - The Devils were successful in shutting down
the Av's for the first 2 periods but exploded with 3 goals in 7
minutes in the 3rd to take the victory.

Penguins 3, Canucks 2 - Despite losing Mario Lemieux to injury in the
first period after being checked into the boards from behind by Joe
Nieuwendyk (ejected) the Penguins stepped up their game and won on an
overtime goal by Robert Lang. The game winning goal was Lang's second
      of the night.

Kings 4, Senators 4 - An exciting matchup between potential Stanley
Cup finalists as the teams battled to a draw.

Predators 5, Leafs 3 - In a surprising game the Predators, led by
Nils Ekman with 3 assits, upset the Leafs. 11 Pred's recorded points
      in a team effort.

Wild 5, Canucks 5 - Instead of trying to contain the Canucks the Wild
attacked them and in the end two Canucks (Whitney and Johnson) had to
be helped off the ice and the Canucks were sent home with only a
      single point.

Jackets 5, Hurricanes 2 - Tonight's victory gave the Jackets their
first multiple game winning streak of the season.

Blackhawks 2, Thrashers 2 - The groin injury that had forced Kevin
Weekes out of his previous game did not appear to be bothering him as
he stopped 35 of 37 Thrasher shots, many of which came on Atlanta's 7
PP opportunities. A third period goal by Shane Doan allowed the
      Blackhawk's to steal a point.

Blues 5, Sabres 1 - Chris Wells 3rd period goal denied Dunham his 4th
      shutout of the season.

Canadiens 2, Flyers 2 - After going down 2-0 in the first period the
Flyers Kris Draper responded with two goals in the 3rd period to earn
      his team a point.

Sharks 4, Bruins 2 - Tonights victory allowed the Sharks to move into
1st in the HFNHL with an .805 win percentage
