- I've never knitted 9 before beginning the chart, but I understand that the earlier charts needed something like that. The arm is healing (already out of the cast and starting physical therapy next week).

Thank you Paul and I am sorry about your arm. I just wanted to see if
you just jumped right into the charted pattern or knitted 9 (like most
of the pattens ask you to do- moving your beg. round marker) and then
began the chart. I am a little gun shy as this point since I have
ripped this back 3 times but I am determined to get it done. Thank you
for your assistance.
