We were the first support group dedicated to helminthic therapy - an emerging, experimental and as yet unapproved approach to the treatment and prevention of autoimmune disease, inflammation and allergy.
The therapy involves deliberate, low-level infection with organisms belonging to a class of benign intestine-dwelling nematodes known as helminths, with which we in the West have lost contact during the last century as a result of modern hygiene practices and sanitation.
Our group focus is the science, management, experience and results of helminthic therapy, and our aim is to share and add to what is known about this with a view to improving our own heath and helping others achieve their own health goals. We therefore welcome contributions from anyone with an interest in helminthic therapy, whether researchers, clinicians, providers, users or potential users.
Once you have registered to join our group, please go first to the Files section and read the WELCOME MESSAGE & GROUP POLICIES document. This can be accessed by clicking on the "Files" tab beneath the group picture at the top of this page.
We recommend that you also join the Helminthic Therapy Support group on Facebook, which is by far the largest and most active of the Helminthic Therapy groups.
