I'm delighted to hear that you too love Joyce's _Ulysses_. I hope
you'll enjoy it in English.
If you Google the quote that you're looking for ("the eternal
affirmation of the spirit of man") you'll find quite a few references
to it. It's a quote from Stephen Daedalus in _Ulysses_.
And of course I look forward to your thoughts on Absolute Spirit,
when you have time.
