Bill, it is found abundantly in Hegel - in the PhG and the SL. A paradigmatic example of these such inversions is the dialectic that leads to the inverted world in "Force and the Understanding".

      Regards,
      João.

Joao, I believe it implies that "dialectical inversion" and the posited inadequacy of the Idea aren't found directly in Hegel. I could be wrong of course, and if you can cite a location, I'm happy to learn.

I'm sorry Bill, but this hasn't any meat in it. It is just you saying that my our point is not Hegelian without providing any substance for it. Anyone can simply say that the other's reading is a failure. He doesn't even had to have read Hegel to say that. He can just say it.

      Regards,
      João.

Joao, and Mary, your points seem to me to re-read Hegel in some way that doesn't do him justice, to inscribe in Hegel concepts of real and rational, etc., that create more problems for him than he needs. By focusing on "dialectical inversion" or the posited inadequacy of the Idea, we lose sight of Hegel, which isn't a failure of the Idea but of reading.

      Hi Bill,

There is a dialectical inversion of sorts brewing in your point: the absense of rationality of that wich is not rational is its rationality. This would mean that what is real of the Holocaust, what is rational about it, is its irrationality.

      Regards,

      João.
